Breckenridge, CO

All my favorite places to eat, drink, and hike in Breckinridge, Colorado. I’m also listing a few Air Bnb recommendations. Enjoy 🤍

Places To Eat

Crepes A La Cart - 🤤🤤🤤

The most recommended place in Breckinridge… IT’S WORTH THE LINE. Trust me, just stand in it. This crepe joint offering sweet and savory crepes. I recommend splitting one of each with a friend. My favorite it the Monte Carlo!

Ollies - Cold Beer and Burgers

A floating pub and grill on the river that has a great view! Cold beer and yummy American classics, what more could you ask for after a hike or skiing down the mountain.

Briar Rose - Steak Dinner

A fancy dinner. This is your place if you’re wanting to ball out by having a classy steak dinner with yummy al-a-cart asparagus, brussel sprouts, and creamy mashed potatoes. It’s a high-end country atmosphere with stained glass windows and expensive antiques all over. It’s pretty formal though, you might feel out of place in hiking gear.

The Crown- Little breakfast spot

This is the best place to RECHARGE. If it’s a latte, breakfast sandwich, or bagel, they have it for you. This is my go-to breakfast spot in town.

Micheal’s Italian- The Baked Ziti

The atmosphere of Micheal’s Italian reminds me of a mountainous Pasta House. Not romantic by any means. Honestly, you may just want to get this to-go lol. But you’re not here for the atmosphere, you are here for the pasta. You are here for the baked ziti. You’ll look at the menu and think, “Hmmm I think I might want something else.” NO, you want the baked ziti. You won’t regret this.

Carboy - Winery with Amazing Apps

Don’t sleep on Carboy! Grab the girls and have yourself a wine night at the Carboy Winery. Unfortunately, all the picture I have of this place is of my girlfriends. We had a BLAST here one night. They’ve got burrata with tomatoes fresh out of grandma's garden and French Onion soup that will make you melt. Check out their patio after dinner for another glass of wine.

Bangkok Happy Bowl Thai Bistro and Sushi Bar - Cust sushi and servers

I don’t have a picture, BUT this deserves a mention. Despite the reviews on yelp, this place kinda hits the spot! Great sushi and amazing drunken noodles with a subtle kick. The mountain interior kind of throws you while eating Asian but you’re in the mountains… give me log cabin sushi! I would recommend this if you’re craving Asian food after a long hike.

Hikes

Short & Sweet hikes that I recommend for your mountain getaway!

Blue Lakes Trailhead - My Favorite

My favorite little spot in Breckenridge. This “hike” can be as much, or as little of a hike as you want. I’ve stayed for 5 seconds and other times 2 hours. There’s a gravel road that takes you up the side of the mountain and it’s the most gorgeous view. There is a small incline to view an alpine lake and you can go even further past the fence if you need more of an adventure. I’ve seen lots of wildlife here so be careful not to leave anything behind! We’ve spotted a lot of mountain goats so be sure to look up in the mountains.

I don’t recommend if there’s ice on the roads, and I also don’t suggest that the person who’s scared of heights drive lol. It’s totally safe, don’t let that freak you, just a little warning. Check the app All Trails to see the latest on the trail.

Trollstigen Trail - Great for Families

This is a very popular hike in Breckenridge that’s great for families. You take a short walk through nature to a TALL troll sculpture. It was made by Danish artist Thomas Dambo. If you have the time it’s a fun stop.

Trail - A Quick Stop In Or Out of Town

Heading in or out of Breckenridge and need a Mountain View? This trail can be long or short, up to you but you’ll have a great view of the lake and mountains.

Dillon Reservoir - For The Summer Travelers

Need some sun? Have a beach day at the lake.

Air Bnbs

Loft Bed

View from the back deck with jacuzzi

Cozy in Town Loft

I stayed in this Air BnB with my family over the Thanksgiving holiday. It was so unique, cozy, and warm. It was a block away from Breckenridge Main Street. This is perfect for families, or friends that are wanting a mountain getaway without hitting the slopes. My favorite part was the gorgeous loft with a mega couch and windows on three sides of the room making it a spot for sunrise or sunset.

Roomie House to Share with Friends

This is 4 bedroom house has everything you could want, a jacuzzi, spacious kitchen, garage, fireplace, you name it. The kitchen had everything we could need for making yummy dinners and baking desserts. It is a little bit of a drive into town.
